Minimum Monthly Charge
The minimum charge shall be the highest of the following:

  1. The minimum charge specified in the contract for service.
  2. A charge of $0.75 per kVA of installed transformer capacity.
  3. The distribution monthly grid access charge.

Determination of Billing Demand (non-coincident peak demand)
The billing demand shall be the maximum non-coincident kilowatt demand established by the member for any period of fifteen consecutive minutes during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter and adjusted for power factor as follows.

Power Factor Adjustment
The member agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as practicable. Demand charges will be adjusted for members with 50 kW or more of measured demand to correct for average power factor lower than 95% and may be so adjusted for members if and when the Cooperative deems necessary. Such adjustments will be made by increasing the measured demand 1% for each 1% by which the average power factor is less than 95% lagging.

Determination of Billing Demand (coincident peak demand)
The billing demand shall be the maximum kilowatt demand established by the member for any period of fifteen consecutive minutes (between 1:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.) during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter (except for Sundays).

Conditions of Service

  1. The Cooperative will read the meters on a monthly basis.
  2. The member, prior to being signed up on this service tariff, will be required to be current with their billing.
  3. The service contract may be cancelled by agreement of both parties. If the contract is cancelled, the member is no longer qualified to receive service under this service tariff at that location for twelve months.
